Our client, a growing technology company, is looking for a hands-on Social Media & Video Content Specialist to build and execute its social media and content presence as the organization expands into new markets and product categories.

Working with innovative products across the technology, robotics and industrial sectors, this person will play an important role in building awareness and reaching audiences that include manufacturers, engineers, researchers, universities and other technology professionals.

This is an opportunity to help build the function from the ground up. You won't be inheriting an established marketing playbook, you'll have significant ownership over how the company shows up digitally, combining social media strategy with hands-on content creation.

What You'll Do

This role is approximately 60% social media management and 40% video content creation, combining strategy with hands-on execution.

You will:

  • Own the day-to-day management of social channels across LinkedIn, YouTube, X and TikTok.
  • Develop and execute a social media and content strategy aligned with growth, product and commercial goals.
  • Plan, create, edit and publish engaging short-form and longer-form video content.
  • Use emerging AI-powered video and creative tools to produce polished, modern content efficiently and experiment with new formats.
  • Stay current on rapidly evolving AI, technology, social media and content trends, incorporating relevant new tools and approaches into the strategy.
  • Work directly with physical technology products to capture demonstrations, product footage and other original content.
  • Come onsite in Burlington approximately once per week, on average, for content capture while otherwise working within a flexible remote schedule.
  • Translate highly technical products and concepts into compelling, accessible stories for different audiences.
  • Write social copy and other supporting digital content.
  • Establish content calendars, posting cadences and channel-specific strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to grow awareness and generate organic inbound interest through social media.
  • Track channel and content performance, using analytics to continuously test, learn and improve.
  • Adapt content for different audiences, including manufacturers, engineers, researchers, universities and technology professionals.
  • Work directly with company leadership to understand products, audiences and commercial priorities and translate them into effective content.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a strong intermediate-level candidate who combines social media expertise with hands-on content creation. You should be self-driven, responsible, curious and comfortable learning quickly in an industry where technology and content trends are constantly changing.

The ideal candidate brings:

  • Several years of hands-on experience in social media, digital content, video or a related marketing role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing social media strategies, ideally in a lean or growing organization.
  • Strong video creation and editing skills, particularly for modern, social-first content.
  • Hands-on experience with AI video and creative tools, with the ability and curiosity to quickly learn emerging platforms and workflows.
  • An understanding of how AI can accelerate content production and support a faster, more agile creative process.
  • Experience managing multiple social platforms and understanding how content, audiences and best practices differ by channel.
  • Experience using analytics and performance data to improve content strategy.
  • Strong writing, storytelling and content-development skills.
  • The ability to turn complex or technical subject matter into engaging, understandable content.
  • Comfort working with physical products and capturing product footage and demonstrations onsite.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently with significant ownership.
  • Experience within technology, AI, robotics, engineering, industrial, manufacturing or another high-tech environment is a strong asset.
  • The ability to work at a fast pace and continuously adapt as technology, platforms and audience behaviours evolve.
  • GTA-based, with the ability to travel to Burlington approximately once per week as needed.

What Success Looks Like

Your initial focus will be establishing a consistent, professional social media presence and creating a fast, repeatable content engine capable of keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology industries.

  • Within 3 months, you'll be operating independently at a high professional level, consistently producing platform-ready video content, managing social channels effectively and demonstrating early improvements in reach and engagement.
  • Within 6 months, the goal is to see measurable audience growth, improving content performance and increased recognition among target companies, engineers, researchers and other industry audiences.
  • Within 12 months, success will mean establishing the company as a highly visible and recognizable name within its target sectors, supported by a relevant professional audience, consistently strong content performance and meaningful organic engagement.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity for someone who wants significant ownership rather than stepping into a narrowly defined marketing role. You'll work directly with emerging technology, experiment with the latest AI-powered creative tools and play a central role in shaping how a growing company builds its digital presence.

You'll have the flexibility to work primarily remotely while staying closely connected to the products and leadership team through regular content sessions in Burlington.

If you're equal parts creator, social media marketer and experimenter, and you're excited about using AI-powered content to bring innovative technology to market, we'd love to hear from you.
