An established North American leader in the building materials industry is looking to find a talented Copywriter to join their growing marketing team.
This is a great opportunity for a strong writer who enjoys turning complex, technical information into clear, engaging content. You'll play an important role in shaping how the brand communicates with its audiences, producing SEO-driven content, maintaining a consistent brand voice, and collaborating with teams across marketing, product, and communications.
Working within a collaborative marketing department, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of content initiatives, contribute to broader marketing strategies, and help strengthen the brand's presence across digital and traditional channels.
What You'll Be Doing
Content Creation & SEO
- Research, write, and edit approximately 8–12 SEO-optimized content pieces per month to improve organic search visibility.
- Develop content across multiple formats, including blogs, articles, how-to guides, case studies, FAQs, white papers, and website pages.
- Translate technical product information and industry insights into accessible, engaging content for different audiences.
Brand Voice & Editorial
- Maintain and strengthen a consistent brand voice across digital, print, and internal communications.
- Review and edit content from cross-functional teams, including website copy, brochures, email campaigns, product launches, and marketing materials.
- Help develop and maintain brand voice and copywriting guidelines.
- Coordinate content development and approval processes, working with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
- Support internal communications, including newsletters and leadership messaging, as needed.
Collaboration & Content Strategy
- Partner with UX, Web, Creative, Product, and Marketing teams to develop content that supports business objectives.
- Optimize landing page copy for SEO, paid campaigns, and conversions.
- Contribute copy for product catalogs and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather insights and develop compelling stories.
- Audit existing content and recommend improvements to clarity, consistency, and search performance.
- Support editorial planning and content calendars.
PR & External Communications
- Develop press releases for key company announcements.
- Collaborate with external agency partners to support media coverage and industry visibility.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of professional copywriting experience in marketing, communications, content strategy, or an agency environment.
- Proven experience developing SEO-optimized content, ideally with measurable improvements in organic performance.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences.
- Strong ability to simplify technical or complex subject matter into engaging, easy-to-understand content.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and maintaining a consistent voice across multiple channels.
- Understanding of UX writing principles and how content influences user behaviour.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Exposure to PR, media relations, or corporate communications.
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in construction, building materials, architecture, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences.
What's in It for You?
- Competitive salary with an annual bonus opportunity of up to 10%.
- Three weeks of paid vacation, plus a paid holiday closure in December.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance benefits.
- Employer-matched pension contributions after one year of service, increasing with tenure.
- Employee product discounts.
- Hybrid work arrangement with three days per week in-office.
- Opportunity to join a growing, collaborative marketing team within an established North American organization.
- A supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and long-term career growth.
If you're a creative, detail-oriented Copywriter who loves turning complex ideas into compelling stories, has a strong understanding of SEO, and enjoys collaborating with different teams to bring a brand's voice to life, we'd love to hear from you!
