This role is ideal for an editor who can lead complex video projects from pre-production through final delivery, often with limited lead time. Assignments may begin with as little as one week's notice and typically run for approximately three weeks at full-time hours.

You will work closely with creative, capture, production, assistant editing, motion graphics, and post-production teams to create compelling, high-impact trailers across a variety of platforms.

  • Integrate music, sound design, and voice-over elements
  • Work with motion graphics and VFX teams to enhance key moments, dialogue, action, and character expressions
  • Incorporate graphics, titles, and visual effects into final edits
  • Review and refine edits based on internal and client feedback
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Contribute to internal creative initiatives and agency brand work
  • Maintain organized project files, versions, and post-production workflows

Required Skills and Experience

  • Professional experience editing trailers, cinematic content, or high-impact promotional video
  • Advanced proficiency in:

  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, structure, and emotional tone
  • Experience integrating sound design, music, voice-over, VFX, and motion graphics
  • Ability to work quickly and confidently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to explain creative decisions clearly and thoughtfully
  • Strong responsiveness, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating action-driven, cinematic, or trailer-focused editing

Nice to Have

  • Experience editing video game trailers
  • Experience with cinematic or entertainment campaigns
  • Knowledge of multiplayer games, RPGs, and first-person shooters
  • Familiarity with gameplay capture workflows
  • Passion for video games, visual storytelling, and entertainment marketing
  • Experience collaborating with US-based creative teams

Working Style

The team values:

  • Confidence and a clear creative point of view
  • Respectful collaboration
  • Strong opinions supported by thoughtful rationale
  • Openness to feedback
  • Active participation in creative discussions
  • The ability to move quickly without compromising quality

Project Structure

  • Temporary, project-based assignments
  • Average project duration of approximately three weeks
  • Full-time hours during active projects
  • Some assignments may begin with approximately one week's notice
  • Work will be offered as projects become available
  • Initial collaboration will be with a US-based creative team

The Ideal Candidate

You are a strong storyteller who understands how to build momentum, emotion, and impact through editing. You are comfortable working across multiple projects, collaborating with several creative disciplines, and making confident editorial decisions under tight timelines.

You can move seamlessly between creative concepting, technical execution, and final polish, while maintaining a high standard of quality throughout the process.
