We're looking for an experienced Freelance Art Director to support a luxury retail brand on a series of fashion photoshoots featuring ready-to-wear apparel on models.

This engagement will include ad hoc pre-production support, followed by a full week on set in September. The on-set schedule will include fittings, pre-light, shoot preparation, and the photoshoot itself.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the creative direction for a series of luxury fashion shoots

   

• Collaborate with the client and production partners during pre-production

   

• Help shape visual references, shot lists, styling direction, compositions, and overall look and feel

   

• Provide clear creative direction to photographers, stylists, models, hair and makeup artists, and production teams

   

• Attend and art direct fittings, pre-light, and shoot days

   

• Ensure all imagery feels elevated, cohesive, and aligned with the brand's visual identity

   

• Respond confidently to feedback and make thoughtful creative decisions in a fast-moving production environment

   

Ideal Experience

• Demonstrated experience art directing fashion photoshoots, ideally within luxury retail, editorial, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands

   

• A strong portfolio featuring on-model, ready-to-wear fashion photography

   

• Excellent visual judgment across styling, lighting, composition, casting, and storytelling

   

• Comfortable leading creative teams and communicating direction clearly on set

   

• Collaborative, organized, decisive, and calm under pressure

   

• Able to provide flexible, ad hoc support during the pre-production phase

   

• Available for the full on-set period in mid-September
