We're partnering with an innovative fintech/crypto company that's looking for highly skilled freelance Motion Designers for project-based support. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates across Canada and the U.S., with a slight preference for those in Eastern or Central time zones.

This opportunity is project-based to start, with the potential to grow into ongoing freelance work or a longer-term role for the right fit.

About the Opportunity

You'll be supporting high-quality marketing, launch, and motion design initiatives for a fast-moving creative team. The internal design group includes senior talent across North America, and freelancers are brought in to support overflow, urgent timelines, and high-priority campaign needs.

The work is often fast-turnaround, so this is best suited to someone who is responsive, adaptable, and comfortable jumping into well-defined briefs quickly.

What You'll Be Working On

The focus of this role is motion design, with some static design work as needed. Projects may include:

• Partnership announcement content
• Product go-to-market campaign assets
• Marketing launch creative
• Motion-heavy social and video assets
• Product-focused videos featuring UI integrated into 3D phone or device mockups
• Kinetic typography and animated branded elements
• Typography overlays on AI-generated video content
• Select static digital design assets

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a senior-level visual generalist with exceptional motion design skills and strong creative instincts. You should be able to take existing brand assets and bring them to life through polished, modern, high-impact motion work.

The ideal candidate has:

• Advanced motion design experience
• Excellent visual design and layout instincts
• Strong typography and kinetic type skills
• Deep experience working in After Effects
• Comfort integrating UI screenshots, product visuals, and motion graphics
• Experience working with both 2D and 3D motion/design
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing craft
• Experience adapting to established brand systems and creative direction
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness in a fast-moving freelance environment

Bonus points for experience with:

• Web design
• AI creative tools
• AI-assisted video or broadcast-style content
• Figma-based design workflows
• Claude or similar AI-supported creative workflows

Workflow

Freelancers are typically provided with clear briefs, and in some cases, complete storyboards. The internal team may also provide music, copy, imagery, brand elements, and other creative assets.

Timelines are often quick, with projects typically requiring delivery within a day to a few days depending on scope.
